Beginners Guide to Past Life Regression & Ancestral Healing
Have you ever felt like some things in your life don’t make sense, certain fears, strong attractions to certain places or people, or repeating patterns that seem to come from nowhere?
Many times, these things have roots in past lives or in your ancestors' experiences.
In this beginner’s guide, I’m going to explain what past life regression really is, how ancestral healing works, and how you can gently start releasing what no longer serves you.
What Is Past Life Regression?
Past life regression is a gentle process where you explore memories or impressions from previous lifetimes. It is not about proving that reincarnation is real; it’s about understanding why you are the way you are today and healing old wounds that are still affecting you.
Many people experience strong emotions, clear images, or sudden “knowings” during a regression. The goal is never to get stuck in the past, but to bring healing and understanding into your present life.
What Is Ancestral Healing?
Ancestral healing is the process of releasing patterns, traumas, or limiting beliefs that have been passed down through your family line. These can show up as fears, health issues, money blocks, or relationship difficulties that don’t seem to have an obvious cause in this lifetime.
When you heal an ancestral pattern, you not only help yourself, you also help the entire family line, past and future.

- Journaling – Ask yourself: “What feels familiar that I can’t explain in this life?”
- Meditation – Sit quietly and ask to be shown anything from a past life that is ready to be healed.
- Notice repeating patterns – Look at your life and see if the same challenges keep showing up.
Real-Life Example (from my own work)
I once worked with a client who had an inexplicable fear of water and drowning. During a regression, she saw herself as a young woman in a previous life who had drowned while trying to save her child. Once she understood the root of the fear, the panic attacks she had in this life around water slowly disappeared.
